Promotions outside of Dallas

Has anyone been promoted, or received a progression outside of Dallas, without being ask to move to Dallas since the New Year?

They promoted all the work that other laid off workers were doing to me and gave me nothing for it. My surprise back to them will be giving them no notice when I leave.

They are opening many positions in Dallas to entice employees to move there. Most managers would move to Dallas if they were promised a promotion.

We had a skilled network reliability engineer at an approved minor hub not get promoted. Worked out better for they/them financially though. St Louis is a lot more affordable than Atlanta or Dallas.

“No. My org has said NO one promoted or hired outside the big 2 locations. Has a skilled architect get passed up for a promotion due to location and she was in one of the smaller approved hubs.”

That’s unfortunate if true.

“Yes. Hiring managers are opening positions that say Dallas or Atlanta, then after they are closed they add a location and hire whoever they want. They will say “that person will be moving” but 6 months later they are still in their remote location.”

I said this would happen when all this nonsense started and I knew they wouldn’t be able to source enough talent just in Dallas.

Got down-voted but look now.

Yes.

They will say “that person will be moving” but 6 months later they are still in their remote location.
