Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Been feeling like this with any kind of a labor market

“The cooling labor market may be good for quelling inflation but it's frustrating for job hunters — those who are employed feel stuck in roles they no longer want, while the unemployed struggle to get hired.”

It was two years of a really hot job market. Pretty much anybody but a lifer job jumped for a huge inflation beating raise.

@2obb you don't need to find a decent job, just one better than a BNYM job. That's REAL easy.

whoever thinks that it is easy to find a decent job in this environment is delusional

We’ve just been through three years of a really hot job market and the bulk of those who took advantage of it more than made up for inflation.

If you’re still here…. Why?

If you guys are severely affected by unemployment being 4% instead of 3%, you've got bigger issues to work on.

Hate to tell you this but the ultra low unemployment rate is now backing. The last two years were a bonanza for anybody with solid skills. I implored people to job search throughout the hot period to get a sweet raise to get ahead of inflation.

The only response was fear of job searching by lifers. What a wasted opportunity…
