What did we gain?

Those recently added to the CWA from IHX… what did we actually gain? Did the union deliver on any promises?

Benefits su-k

Representation su-ks (the contract contains an amendment that says performance management still follows the management process LOL!!!!!!!)

we were already salary so the “unlimited sick time” they keep saying they got us was already there as salaried employees

they collect dues from us

our goals still went up

It’s also funny that my steward is always a bottom performer and then complains to me how the culture su-ks

Anyone else feel like the union fleeced us?

Seeing the new contract they “negotiated” down south it looks like we won’t even get a resolution when orange is revisited.

I’m convinced the company cut a deal to give them ihx if they bent over the table in negotiations

Make sure to run for the steward. Management doesn’t want to follow any rules, as a steward you can have a lot of under the table deal to benefit yourself.

Calm down microwave generation, always wanting instant gratification. It’s a marathon, the same thing with the Wiretech’s AFO contract. The union has made improvements on work rules such as forced OT hours, Days off, wages, severance, seniority, job movement, etc.. every contract has had improvements, takes time.

Isn't IHX a mess everywhere? Union or no union?

Yall could have chosen NOT to join the CWA. But you're fools.

You let yourselves be manipulated with the promise of easy street. Now, not only did you take a demotion, you cannot negotiate raises, you took a hit on your benefits, everything is based on seniority AND you can still be fired for performance.

You got swindled.

This is exactly why 90% of IHX in Texas rejected the union.
