Waste of money. It shows that Ford is glorifying the past and not innovating or moving forward to the future.

After a billion dollars they should care, @5icr+1sVYNE0P.
What a colossal waste of money. And whatever they are paying you is a waste too. Id--t
Unbelievable the number of trolls on this post and others. Sad life if all there is to do is complain about the train station being renovated. Plus, it's a waste of time commenting: do you imagine Ford cares what you think about the train station, or Detroit?
@3rkm+1sVYNE0P will be the first id--t that gets mugged!
Oh no! A major metropolitan area, how scary! Better stay in Macomb then where it’s nice and safe.
Be careful leaving your cars at the Ford train station office. Your cars will be broken in or stolen. That is an invitation for the car thief to get what they want. It's a horrible neighborhood and it will never change.
The question we are all told to ask ourselves every day is this: How does my work impact revenue, quality, and value to the customer?
For the defenders of the train station, please answer the above question and explain how this massive investment of capital increases any of these.
Too bad you are forced to work at Ford. Quit you lazy wa-ker
If you don’t like it leave. That simple. How a company spends its money isn’t a democratic process.
Billy never mentions that the train station was bought with the shareholders money. Typical example of the Ford way of taking credit from others. It starts from the top down.
They should have knocked the damn thing down when they had a chance. Complete waste of money, time and effort.
No one truly cares what you dinosaurs think. The train station, wah! EVs, wah! The future and progress, wah! Get a life. Get a hobby.
No one gives a sh-t. Don’t go to the building. Don’t buy a Ford. Don’t work for Ford. We don’t care.
Anyone see the ad in Automotive News touting the train station as a symbol of rebirth for both Ford and Detroit? I'm puzzled as to why rebuilding a dilapidated train station was a great idea.....and that most people with common sense know a company and a city should avoid being run into the ditch to begin with, so they don't need a rebirth.
Like renovating that building is going to revive Detroit! Still same amount of homeless. Still same amount of dilapidated neighborhoods. Still high theft and other crimes. Take a clue from GM...they vacated the RenCen for a reason!
$1 billion Dollars and the top three floors aren't Even built out! 🤣
They are trying to spin that as a good thing.
Yes it’s about BF and his ego. What a joke of a legacy to leave. The B of D is totally out of touch and Ford has no visionary.
It's a waste of time and confused direction. The upside is they let you know where thier priorities are. If you work at Ford, don't plan on staying more than 3 years. That's about the max time to learn anything (if you can), and get any bonuses you might be entitled to. Anything longer than that you'll be wasting your time. That promotion game is old, antiquated, and no one has time for those politics and drama.
Do you know what? No one asked for your opinion.
So it’s renovated. Now what?
Maintenance and security are going to be expensive.
The park area is nice, but the area just a few blocks away is not safe.
Nobody wants to work there and pay Detroit city income tax.
What will be happening there that increases profitability for Ford shareholders?
How long before the over a billion dollars spent on the renovation is recouped?
Looking forward to hearing some answers.
Huge waste of money! So Bill and his ego can have a legacy. His legacy will be bankrupting the company! And what's going on with the plant being built in Marshall? Haven't heard anything about that lately.
