Got promoted today since they were able to free up some budget with the layoffs! w00t
I was laid off today, came out of absolutely no where. Not location strategy related either.
I know of three in CSBB that got laid off today and they all worked hybrid in core cities so….

They blocked them at the last second because they realized it might not be good for optics if they did a mass layoff during employee appreciation week. But they were so d-mb, they didn’t realize it until the last second

It was supposed to be a notable layoff day until leadership realized they’d be laying off employees during employee appreciation week. Many of the COO displacements targeting employees in non target locations were rescheduled for 6/25.

As mentioned in another post WF would’ve sunk to a new low displacing during employee appreciation week, as well as the stinky media attention that would have attracted!

I would have felt appreciated today with a layoff. Not trying to be funny or witty, just a long-timer who really could use the severance to segway into something else.
