Instead of whining you now have the opportunity to take a severance package and walk into one of those higher paying jobs, which are apparently growing on trees, at another company. Why are you still here?
Nobody forcing you to stay, you can leave if you are unhappy
How are you comparing pay? The other companies will expect you to actually work and produce something of value. If you can get the extra money in a solid offer you should take it.
