So far hearing rumors of huge packages to union employees all dept hearing of the vsp to non union employees,Rumors of wireline sell off rumors that the end is near for verizon .One thing definite nothing stays the same for ever and what wil be will be but in the end the people that make the company run will always have some kinda job wether it be verizon or the next guy who owns it no one is willing to hire train all new employees most of which wont work for nothing and all wanna job that they work from home

There WILL NOT be a strike leading up to or at the CWA contract in August of '26. VZ has every intention of selling off the non-backbone wireline well before that so they aren't in that position. Sure, VZ will still have plenty of folks for the stuff they keep, but as far as the wireline etc, all of the techs for that will be employees of the selloff company(whichever holding within Apollo Group they stick it along with all of the other wireline footprint they have purchased from MANY carriers).

More that likely one, possibly two EISP offers by 2026. Be more worried about 2026. Start saving now for a strike. Verizon will look to contract work out to save money and let us stay out as long as they want. Remember the last strike was 7 weeks and some of your coworkers started surrendering and crossing the picket lines.
There will be now package right now, there would be a mass exodus, and no one to do the work.

Not true. Wishful thinking, offers for union membership is a thing of the past.
Be very surprised if there is any package for union members this year. And yes, in the future it may not be Verizon you are working for but you will be working.

If the package is huge, will UPS be able to handle shipping? Or will it be local pickup only?
