Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Locations up next for layoffs???

Is there a list and a timeline for cities set for layoff??
I have a remote co-worker who still has not gotten any notification. Boss said some are going later. If that’s the case, what’s next? This seems so messy and no plan unlike what we were initially told.

Is it a city in the United States not called "New York"? Then it's on the chopping block, just a matter of time. You guys in Charlotte that think you're safe need to get a clue, if you look at who is currently on their 60 Day notice period Charlotte is the #1 site in the company.

It appears they have no plan. It seems to be happening by lob and location but some guy has dart board in there too.

We were told location strategy timelines are decided by the Corporate Properties Group. When Wells leaves areas, the people in those areas lose their jobs.

It is not done by location but by LOB. There are some exceptions though where they may be shutting down entire buildings, but they aren't that common.

Location strategy doesn’t exist in my LOB. More people in core locations have been let go than those who are in non-core and remote locations. They are blaming it on efficiency. Meanwhile, more than half of the middle managers are in non core locations with no indication they are being let go anytime soon.

Coming to your city soon!

Just wait.

By the way, they admitted in the location strategy meetings that their plans are not set in stone and subject to change.

Multiple in my city have already been laid off for location strategy. Most of us are still here. Non-core/non-specialty market for LOB and remote.

I’m not sure they are doing it by city. I know some who have already been formally told they have exceptions.
