Relocation packages heavily weigh all burden on the employee. Sure you get some moving costs covered, but no COLA, no improved job security, no incentives at all.

Following WF around the country is inane, insane and in vain.

The execs know that very very few people will relo in this environment, which is the only reason they offer it to some. The instant they denied offers from employees to relo proactively before location strategy was even locked in for the LOB was the instant we knew it was really a downsizing strategy and location is complely irrelevant beyond being a fake excuse to fire people.

I find it kind of funny in today’s economy.

Relocating for a dumpster fire is foolish. Co. laughs at you and just let's you go 6 mo. after you move.

Plus, leave when my current mortgage rate is 1.875%? H*ll no!

Staff emps like me who are way down the chain don't get any reloc package. My boss asked me to relocate on my own, or else. I agreed and of course months before I was supposed to relocate, I looked for another job, and fortunately I found another. Although I must say, I loved my job at WFC.

Challenge is moving family across states selling home to get to a hub. On a new posted role you would be required to relocate as role have only hubs listed … and hiring manager will work out the relo package into the offer ..real estate agent fees while selling and buying new home at higher interest rate makes moving a bad deal even with relo

Pretty funny how highly comped employees that shouldn't even need relo $ get the most $ for it. That tracks. No way a dude pulling down $250k/year could possibly move on his own. Impossible. Guy making $25/hr? He's on his own.

This was a year ago, so take that into account. I hired someone in AZ and part of the offer was for them to move to CLT. Individual contributor, high $90’s salary. HR gave me $10k to give them, family, home, etc. made no difference. It was by level AND if we had the funds.

They have standard packages by level. Like everything else they are much less than they used to be.

It is not based on Family size. Mostly not based on homeownership or not either, usually a cash amount that gets grossed up.

I'm in the same boat. I've been told I'm going to receive a relocation package, but no timing, no amounts, nothing else. And it better be significant if they are asking me to lose my low interest rate on my condo to move while interest rates are high.

it isn't a fixed amount that everyone gets. It's based on your current job level/salary, location, home ownership, family size, etc.
