Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How much longer for Hans?

Even with his tie and cheerleading, the stock sinks below $40 and even further today with T's better EPS. Investor confidence in his abilities at Verizon has waned. The dog-and-pony show with the Board of Directors made it clear that lipstick on a pig doesn't give you Beyonce. Time to head back to the Swedish handball court with your premium handbag, Hanz.

If Hans has 6 more years to left b4 he's 65 to continue what he's doing now, there will be no need to keep him until he's 70. Because VZ won't exist anymore... he will have buried it 5yrs prior.

Is it true that the board is going to raise the CEO retirement age to 70 to keep him longer?

I don't think Hans is going anywhere before his mandatory retirement date. He sits on the board of directors at Blackrock which just happens to be the single largest owner of Verizon stock. I'm sure they will take good care of him.

He's collected well over $100 million since being at VZ and has done nothing but drop the stock price from a high of $60 to the dismal price it is today. He's taken on more debt than an organization can handle and changes management teams on an annual basis.. Maybe he should look at himself in the mirror..I'll bet he's still super excited! Unfortunately, he is the only one..

CEO age to retire is 65. 59 1/2 is when you can start to draw down on tax deferred savings.

But he’s so in line with the woke BS, in fact he’s the prime mover and the main reason the stock has fallen from its $63 high 6 years ago when he took over. It’s all “DEI & Belonging” all the time and the ones who don’t belong are the “maler, paler, balder” types. The place is a mess.

He can only stay as CEO until he is 59 1/2 so he doesn't have a long line since he is 58 and will be 59 in June. So he has to be gone by December/early January. This is based on Verizon's rules on age of CEO for the company.
