The boss just told us 20% of his staff got lay off notices today. All older white guys. FirstNet / Public Sector (not Sales)

Oh wait, there weren't older white guys getting laid off. It was the convalescent home bus driving by. My mistake.
Got rid of unneeded workers. Running the business. Go AT&T.
Happy for you.
I'm in a team of 4 people in CS&O. One of the guys got laid off yesterday. He's off payroll May 9th.
That's a 25% reduction in staff.
I'm also on the surplus but they're holding on to me for now for some reason.
I work in the public sector and know of product people who were impacted.
OP here. Yes, this really did happen. It is not a big organization but anyone who works on FN will know one of the people who was let go when the names come out. And yes, this organization is diverse (moreso now after this layoff) - 1/3 female, almost 50% of people who would categorize themselves as not being white.
Work with the public sector org can confirm this did not happen..,,,
OP is lying this is a $h%+ posting Public Sector was not impacted

"White men derserve to be laid off en masse. They have had their time and it’s our turn now. Good riddance."
Your turn? You racist trash. Your turn won't amount to a fraction of what came before you. Pu-e.
Fake news
I know people of color getting impacted from the layoff today , infact a lot of them
“Well considering public sector is 90% older white men I'm confused as to what what you would think we would happen when a surplus happens lol”
Grade: A
DEI=DIE and that's what a company does when they promote it over meritocracy. DEI: Didn't Earn It. It's like fixing your car's flat tire by letting the air out of the other 3 tires so they are all equal. It doesn't work and fails every time!

Stink and his older brother RJS have together destroyed AT&T and all of the companies it has acquired over the past 14 years especially BellSouth and Cingular. They will continue laying off ALL employees because they are incompetent fools who actually think they know what the F*ck they are doing. No growth strategy, no path to profitability, no path to stock growth.... Wall Street doesn't believe a word they say. The end is near.
Time to retire grandpa.
Congratulations to all!
Retail is handing out surpluses.
Haven’t seen or heard of any ARSM here in Texas that’s lost a job!
Removing the personal aspect from the picture, Tim’s makes good business sense.
OP, you have more details to share? What area, sales, network….?
We will enforce dei at all costs.
Lost a few area managers in our market as well this morning. Retail.
Area Managers being laid off as well on the retail side. Interesting to see how this goes
