Short term leave?

Unable to handle the work pressure along with few personal issues. Is there a Cisco policy for short term leave, as I don't want to quit just need few months to reset.

Are you in a right role? Do you meet your job expectations. Manager micromanage mostly the reason is you are in wrong role and not meeting expectation.
Also, take PTO and no manager at Cisco will stop you to take leave due to
Mental health.

Read the disability benefits. With a doctors diagnosis you can get a medical leave of absence with FMLA - job protected for … 6weeks I believe. There is a list of Dr. criteria. Can be MD, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc etc.

Toxic manager is not worth your loyalty ! Your mgr seems fully of b--t!
If you have financial pressure try to transfer ASAP. Same company must have reasonable team for you. 2024 is not a good year to switch company. However if you try you will build up your strength on the job market. Please keep it moving my friend !

Been there, done that. Probably best to leave on your own. Sounds like your boss has already made the decision your are LR target, so just a matter of time.

Good luck. Not worth the irritation.

I have thought about either Disability , short term leave or jumping off a bridge, cant maintain 40 hours of meetings then try to do my job just to have my manager question every thing I say or do. Funny thing to go from being on the slides for Qrtly recognition to being micromanaged into dust. I probably have PTSD , am a shell of myself, Toxic management and insane leaders pushing us over that edge, ask how many su----es there has been, i know a couple personally, for same reasons.

Personal Leave of Absence is allowed for 90 days. No pay but benefits remain in tact and you retain employee status.

Give Employee Assistance a call and open a case with your HR lead. Generally speaking, you would have to use all of your PTO first, before taking leave, but if you have personal issues you need to address, most managers will allow it. It all depends of course, but talk with Employee Assistance and your HR lead. Good luck. You are not the first to have gone through this.
