Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Investing.com falling for the "AI" hype (vaporware)

"IBM (NYSE:IBM) (IBM) stock slid 8.6% on weak first-quarter earnings, while the firm also announced a $6.4 billion deal to buy software company Hashicorp (HCP), up 4%, expanding its cloud-based software products to tap into an AI-powered bo-m in demand."

Spending money on useless firms and hype/buzzwords.

Ki-ler strategy.

I have said this before and I will say it again. Get a copy of Watson Code Assistant For Z. Give it a try. Tell this forum how gobsmacked you were. This GA-level product does not work. Period.

IBM always chasing the puck instead of skating to where it will be.

That's because IBM leadership wouldn't recognize innovation if it was burning down the house next door. Arvind and his minions stomp out innovation like roving bands of forest fire fighters: "oh no, looks expensive" when it is really just something someone would actually want or pay to use. So they buy stuff and use labor arbitraging to get a short-term profit.

Constantly buying companies versus generating in-house winners is not the path to prosperity
