Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Anyone notice who is on the Board of Directors?

The former CEO of Yahoo 2012-17, Mayer, has been on the BOD since March 2024. The annual meeting is coming up, so vote “no” unless you want more influence by her. She is the one that banned telecommuting at Yahoo after pulling VPN logs (and had influence over the same decisions AT&T leadership made during that time). Her leadership resulted in a five-year period of sluggish growth, internal conflict, and a demoralized workforce, culminating in calls for her resignation.

I show up. Log in. Check a few orders. Take long breaks a 2.5 hr lunch, punch a few orders, smoke, walk thru the city, visit the boss, we take turns logging out each others computers, go home. Make up my A&D items and cash my paycheck.

Voting your stock is even more meaningless than voting in elections. If you want to influence who gets seats on the board, call Larry Fink.

I worked some 12 hours days. Stankey shook my hand for my hard work. He didn't even realize I didn't do much, just padded my OT. I pulled a fast one on him.

Tell the truth, you did not work 12 hour days. You just thought about working hard and spent a lot of time telling everyone how hard you worked.

We should form our own board of directors and run things.

Years ago I was on an all hands with then operations director John Stankey who ended the call and then muttered on a still-hot mic "Okay, you can put your heads back on your desks and go back to sleep."

For someone who was putting in 12 hour days working on a deadline to make sure we had no "revenue impact", I didn't appreciate the snark.

Who is the true "lazy, disgruntled worker" here?

She and Randall are both on the board at Walmart as well. And you wonder why all these companies manage lock stop with one another. Follow the money. Straight up to blackrock and others.

“ BOD are as fixed and influenced like the US political system. It’s more about enriching individuals than enriching the compnay in support of employees .”

Couldn’t be more true. What’s funny is I see a down vote…that one vote absolutely exemplifies the ignorance of some people in the company and continues to contribute to the downward spiral, so to you “ down vote” , you , are the deep rooted problem here.

BOD is a clown show. DEI hires and fools that rubber stamp RJS and his evil twin Stink. T is over and will soon be dismantled in an Uncle Larry LBO to save his own a-s. Till then the T sh-t show plays on!

Get Elon Musk on the board too and rid AT&T of the lazy and unneeded workers.

Our new board member fits right in, she should be on the Hypocrisy Committee:

The story is from 11 years ago, but is relevant to the new AT&T.

Think I'll do the opposite.

No offense, but its not too much to ask for you to be AT work. Go get a different job.

Anyone that holds Toxic-T stock is an id--t after taking a 50% haircut in the last few years of the T E R R O R reign of the Stink. You have to own shares to vote against these corrupt dolts.

Besides, Ratty is the largest individual shareholder. Vanguard and Blackrock are the largest institutional shareholders. They will keep voting for the corrupt ballot. Even if everyone else voted against them, they would still be seated by a wide margin.

Thus the only votes you have are:

  • Do not own ANY Toxic-T Stock
  • Leave Toxic-T and go to work for a real company and stop being torchered like a lab rat.
