Very sad. How many will be in this predicament until "Big Banks" realize offshore is not our friend. Sure CEO's saved the company millions but at the sake of customers being financially harmed and their information on the dark web. Once the SSN, address, email and phone number is on dark web, the customer will have a very hard road and may never financially recover. I can tell you thanks to other big company's that have sent a letter stating "your information is part of thousands" and they will pay for one year monitoring does 0 in my opinion.

This IS a Wells Fargo issue. Though employed by Wells, I have been a Chase customer for decades. Fraudsters recently ordered a duplicate debit card and were able to withdraw a large sum of cash from a branch, then went to a retail store and conducted multiple small transactions requesting large sums of cash back. We noticed the activity that day, opened two claims with their fraud department, and were made whole after a short investigation. Financial institutions have a fiduciary responsibility to verify the transactions being conducted. Though these women may have been targeted, Wells Fargo has a duty to protect its customers from increasingly sophisticated scams. Just another example of Wells lagging its competition.

It's not just wells fargo alone who is suffering due to outsourcing woes. Companies like optum and some big companies were hit by ransomware breach due to offshoring.

Charlie scharf is an incompetent unimaginative individual who should be fired, not rewarded layoffs are the bottom of the barrel since the firm has nothing else to offer consumers or shareholders.
