Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Time to pack up the stage coach & hitch up the horses

Wells Fargo is continuing with massive layoffs.

Have your resume, references, etc updated.

Recommend to look at other career opportunities outside of banking.

Best of luck to all.

@1urb+1si553ra This may contribute to the earnings release. It may also contribute to the "cut rates" fed initiative since besides lower inflation another is 'worse' employment.

Got let go today in SDI along with several others. From the folks I spoke with it, many long-timers were disproportionately hit. It's not the first time I've been disappointed with WF, but definitely will be the last. Those left are anxious, angsty, and overall displeased with being associated with "the Firm." The amount of hypocrisy and bootlicking is poised to only increase.

For me, I'm just glad I'm getting a notice period and a severance. Bon voyage to the rickety stagecoach!

Thanks, OP.

Today was a bl00dbath all over the company. We knew it would be since it's Apr. 30 and 60-day notice period ends just in time to boost 2nd qtr report for shareholders end of June.

Half of my team let go today in Marketing Services (not remote). Had already had layoffs in my team previously. Now it's a skeleton crew.

This company is letting go great people. I know it doesn't matter to them, but you can't cut your way to profitability. It's been proven time and time again that companies who do that ultimately fail.
