Don’t worry be happy, LRs are round the corner. No one cares who comes or goes. Don’t worry be happy.

I am glad people woke up amd realize that Cisco did quarterly LR. If you are old, expensive, not friend with your dir-rotten. Prepare yourself ...

By the way the job coach cisco provided su-ks! I feel its another money laundry. After initial call my coach disappear. Every other weeks she forward some webinars which on the dashboard already. My resume writer basically copy paste the information I submitted and make it nu-readable.

Everything sc--wed !

Absolutely couldn't care anymore. That said, I'm not old enough to "retire" but I'm too old to get hired by next-gen tech. I've been through so many rounds of layoffs here, I've lost count. I've had to release entire teams in some very dark days. There's only so much we can do. Look out for your kids, your spouse, your dog, do the best you can. Sad to see how far we've fallen.

Stay safe out there.

“It’s public knowledge that Cisco and Splunk have an agreement that no layoffs of Splunk employees will happen within 3 years after the merger is complete. Don’t be lazy, google it if in doubt. Splunk have already done their layoffs earlier this year.”

There is NO public or contract document that states this. Please enlighten us on a link or a document that states this because searching through google, SEC docs, everywhere does not list state at all.

LR during May is certain, not sure how many though. Probably the same amount as in Feb. Cisco has McKinsey mapping functions where Splunk and Cisco employees are duplicated. They will reduce in those areas, letting go of Cisco employees as they cannot touch Splunkees yet. Sales will be hit big time especially in security.

I don't think any announcement after Q3 earnings. I do think EoY will be a bloodbath but in cisco fashion, they will cut in the wrong places. Splunk will be worse than the SA acquisition, mark the words there and the other "recent" buys in software will continue to be total washouts. Buying these does nothing to fix bad code writing and a couple of the partners (loose term at best) are even worse at it than they are. Yet chucky rewards them by promising not to lay off their incompetent teams for 18 months? Well done, you are consistent in bad leadership and decision making.

Why May and not August?

Considering Cisco allocated $800M for layoffs spanning Q3FY2024 through Q1FY2025 odds are the quarter between them and the last quarter will both see layoffs.
