What's going on??

More and more people have stopped giving a damn and it’s obvious...

Every LR - nearly every strategy and priority changes. So folks don't put in effort right before or right after cuts because they know what they are working on is going to change and the current efforts will be dropped anyway. It would be a waste of effort.

When you have LRs every 6 months, you only get a few productive months a year and the company starts to collapse.

Limbo state waiting for the next axe shoe to drop. Wasteful. Not productive.

this is the problem with having an HQ in California all those nonsense values bleed into company culture, lol move the HQ to Texas

Oh, he-l naw. The TX, and FL, cultures su-k as bad as CA does, but just in the opposite direction. I'd be hard pressed to name a state that's neither woke or MAGA id10ts, but more middle of the road. The far extremes are bad for business.

Work hard, do the bare minimum, be skilled or clueless: same outcome. We'll all be eventually LRd without a care. This ELT is reaping just what they sowed.

Profile politics overtakes competency, attitude and adding value

The narcissists and power hungry use this as a ladder rather than the useful people

Cisco has to appease 10 soy boys on twitter and get those ESG scores up, so our performance takes a hit

All the woke stuff just leaves people confused and unmotivated. Our mission is to apparently promote DEI globally (an inclusive future for all or whatever) but how do you actually execute on that? We are just like some giant NGO getting paid from the money printer regardless of results or performance. It's all so disorienting.

Cisco is the pinnacle of not giving any darn form of job security.
Our rewards cycles have gone down in the years
Our market share is going down in key technologies.
Conclusion : people do not get motivated.

Big targets
Weak leadership on all levels
Terrible support to achieve said targets
Ambiguity on job security here today gone tomorrow

Why go out of your way or care

Best place to work don't forget ;)

Yeah, I don't go extra mile anymore since Cisco managers love taking credits for everything
