Is there any evidence or anything pointing to this?

Google is sending a ton of their work to India. Smart move. We should do the same.
Tech industry is sc--wed !! Over paid and too many graduates from outside USA, in universities, competing for the very few jobs.
Outsourcing to improve profits, and meet EPS and distribute dividends to shareholders.
Layoff senior people and outsource all the jobs, just like manufacturing in 90s.
C level making tons of money … over paid and full of BS !!
When everyone says CX is getting axed, are they talking about the renewals side like the renewal managers and specialists or the CX and IT product managers like under Sandeeps Org.
CX and PX will be axed badly. All the work happening in CX is a waste and double dip with IT. CX engineering managers and directors need to be fired to save engineers from their failures in leadership. CX engineering directors are useless for Cisco. This is an opporunity for Cisco save money on high paychecks. The directors contribution is zero other than picking kids from school in office hours :) and taking blind orders from top
If Cisco implements the Telemetry out-of-box solution from vendors then easily 200 can be fired saving more than 25Mil a year
A further 10% will be gone Q1FY25. sales engineering rationalized. GTM “simplified” so no need for so many AM/SE.
The UK layoffs were the same ones as announced at the end of last year, they just took time for consultation, it's normal for that delay so don't let people tell you the UK ones were anything new.
That being said, there's certainly several indicators that another LR is incoming. Numbers not looking great, Impact announcements and bookings not being opened up when it's only 3 months away, increasing booking costs. I think it's likely.
Since none of you can read, let's say it again. Cisco announced that they allocated $800M for layoffs from Q3FY2024 through Q1FY2025. May is the beginning of the quarter between those two quarters and Cisco has done layoffs as often as quarterly since it started layoffs in 2001, 23 years ago.
While all this certainly "points to" a layoff in May, it does not guarantee it.
No more layoffs at Cisco. Everything is dandy. You can work till age 65 and retire happily with a generous retirement package. Long live Cisco.
How long have you been working for Cisco? If you have been here for than 4 years and possess even half a brain then you should know the answer to your question. The fact that you are asking that question qualifies you for an LR candidate.
There was someone here few months ago, full of self-importance, preaching people how to read "Cisco Tea Leaves" and based on that said there would not be any LRs before August 2024. Guess what? UK laid off rumouredly 14% of their local workforce few weeks ago.
There are three things in life that are unavoidable and absolutely certain: Death, taxes and Cisco layoffs every quarter as of Nov 2022. Now go back to your nursery.
And the evidence is in the numbers. They s_u_c_K.
I assume you haven't listened to the Town Halls over the past three months. They said reorganization will include reductions.
Of course not. Unfortunately more folks here make stuff up than give credible info.
