Others (Meta, Google) have been cutting middle layer fat by flattening the organization, removing incompetent managers but Wells Fargo Technology protects managers and allow them to exploit engineers. How funny is that.

In order to make any improvements to WF Technology, we have to replace all the Tech Managers.
@1wno+1skPGz4z, It is comical to see you managers placing the blame at any level of engineers. End of the day, it is MANAGERS who oversee and make decisions during the entire process of pushing products. If you guys don't know how to manage or cannot manage, you should be removed from the position because you guys are not adding any value to the company!
Most tech managers in India are very useless and politically toxic.
Let's face it, a majority of WF tech managers are useless (including DEI hires, outcasts from Truist, etc,). WF tech will never improve unless the bank gets rid of these useless tech managers first.
@2tfr+1skPGz4z, "WF and I believe..."? Whoever you are, Wells Fargo is still way behind in technology compared to other large banks. Granted, the banking industry is not the same as the technology industry, but Wells Fargo tech is much much worse than even Bank of America, JP Morgan, Citi, and others. How do we know? Many of us had a previous life at other large banks before we came to Wells.
Literally every "upgrade" is a downgrade in features and capabilities.
Well you cannot compare a product company to a highly regulated financial company. WF is a Bank and not a technology hub.. WF and i believe majority of larger banks are in the same boat wrt to Tech stack and unnecessary processes that become bottleneck for any new adoption of technology

Those same Engineers aren’t interested in holistic view points. They want to create their fiefdoms and look like hero’s except they only create the hot garbage you speak of.
If you’re retort to that will any drivel about management not letting a proper solution be developed then you are deflecting again. Those proposing the solution are failing at driving home the validity of their proposals then. This is where the collaboration that is being pushed down our throat would come in at a normal employer. But all these legacy sheetbird employees here who are butthurt that RTO is here and they no longer have a cushy life just stomp thier feet and complain like the children you are.

Wells technology is old, lags it's peers, and doesn't resolve the damage wells did to consumers. These people are sick. After harming so many families they ignore the damage and offer free lawn service on an empty lot. Charlie scharf is an id--t and any advisor working at Wells lacks a moral compass.
