Severance payment?

Will someone please comment on how long it took for them to receive their first severance payment after the 60 day warn notice was over? I have received payment for unused PTO but the severance checks have not started yet. Thank you in advance.

Depending on your state you may have gotten an early pay combined with the PTO balance if it was due (per state) on the last day of employment. If that was an off cycle date, it will likely skip a pay period and resume with the next regular cadence.

When I was on leave they paid bi-weekly. They are very good with paying on time. If a payment is delayed they usually send some
form of justification as to why. It's nice companies can earn enough to pay for things like severance. Not all of them do.

There was no lag last year for me. The checks just kept rolling in.

3 weeks for 1st severance check, then 2-week cadence.

Thank you. I have called HR but it sounds like I need to call again. Thank you for confirming what I was told….but is not occurring.

I might’ve had a week lag after I received my PTO payout —but since then it’s been back to every two weeks

Good advice on here. Call the HR rep. They won't hurt you at this point. Congrats on your severance, thanks WF.

Generally, it's 2 weeks like regular biweekly cadence. But if you're really unsure in your situation, call the HR team and have them look up your situation for the end of the 60 day notice period. Vs asking here on a board, since everyone's circumstance is different.

When I got whacked (in 2022), there was no interruption in my every two week deposit.
