Security Sales hit

Security sales hit definitely in upcoming May LR. They are going to transfer the accounts to Splunk people in any account where there is an overlap and get rid of the Cisco employees . So, you should know who you are. Heads up to update your CVs and look for a change. All the best

Power of the platform that doesn't really work or fit well together 😂

Can anyone explain Cisco security other than Just a bunch of products thrown together with hardly any common thread running through them?

So, Cisco grunts will have to go.

They were destined to go regardless of Splunk. Your own post and others just in this thread show how Cisco hasn't been able to get the job done on its own, and it's far more than one person or one group or one technology area.

Congrats Bro, how you managed to stick around 8 long year...I moved to TE after 3 years...it was CTR, then SecureX now its XDR...leaders came with new toy every year and ask us to follow....luckly now Jee2 is helping us with pitch...we need to memorise Jee2;s pitch to sell Cisco security.

8 years in GSSO, Painful to watch the technical culture dying to a point where it is beyond repair. the only think we are doing is what PAN does...Mimic PAN, its features..what s shame.!!! instead of solving security threats in a creative ways by our own innovative ideas, we are just trying to catch up with PAN. Hire PAN and Follow PAN. That is what Tim S is doing, and forcing his whole SE team to do ....

Agree, with you comments. ELT is sleeping and have no clue.
but now PAN Mafia took over the GSSO Org entirely. All Tom Di-k Harry have moved from PAN. Cisco hasn't recovered yet from Salesforce exodus to Cisco in CX V2MMMO. Now in GSSO. IMO Emma should fire. She hardly knows what a "Firewall" is. Sorry to say this.

Gsso is the most bloated
Leadership there I am convinced is myopic
You cannot build or position a platform by compensating specialists differently
Umbrella rep gets 70 percent of revenue on a secure connect deal
I have seen specialists fighting Infront of customers, the blame is not on the individuals but on the id--ts that set this goals and plans

GSSO is bloated with sales engineers - comparing EN. EN is 10 Billion review per year and Security is hardly 2.8 billion per year (These are approx numbers). but GSSO has more SE than EN. GSSO recently hired so many SE's and assign them to XDR.

This is exactly the problem with Cisco, watch his post, it’s from a re--rdant.

Please look around and smell around to check yourself

Why would a sales group in a hot market get hit? Are security products not being sold like the competition? Someone who’s in Security sales let us know what is going on?

lol this is so stupid. How will you get thousands of siem sales people up to speed on 30 security products when the security TSA org is struggling themselves.

Makes 0 sense to ki-l the momentum.

Prior to Splunk acquisition, security was a small part of the business . And the likes of Palo Alto and Fortinet have been long taking away business from us in firewalls and cyber. Cisco’s cannibalistic TSA culture does not help generation of business anyway. As an example, AppD competes with Thousand Eyes, FTD competes with ASA openly in front of customers. Icing on top is the nightmarish licensing in security.
Splunk employees cannot be fired for a sometime because they have just been acquired. So, Cisco grunts will have to go. Nothing unexpected here.

Amazing, include TSA and PSS. Add useless directors from professional services.
Keep going. Add so called customer success executives, oh man..
