Guess it was just easy to believe due to all the stupid choices the company has been making lately. A few years ago I would have questioned it, now if you tell me Stankey is going to try to pivot T into space flight I’d probably believe it.

Let’s block the site that runs half the internet, the site over 95% of people use to perform basic searches. The site that hosts Jquery and a bunch of other JavaScript packages that run tons of our antiquated internal sites. The site that also hosts Google docs that a bunch of internal sites use to pull data.
Genius new director guy, I’m sure you’re super well-versed on all the unintended consequences this will cause - I’ll get on it right away! I’m sure nothing will crash and burn in a blaze of glory if we do this! I’m sure none of our build pipelines rely on anything Google, or code mirrors, or anything else! I’m sure it’ll be fine!
Google being blocked is definitely going to be a problem.
Doesn’t appear to be for developers at the moment but considering it’s a primary way to look up a lot of things, def not great.
And tons of site packages and javascript come from google domains, this is code that’s used to run hundreds of millions of sites including internal ones…
