Speaking of scope of work….is that going to include cleaning up this hot mess of Business Services(BFS/SSIM/“Specials”) doing Prem Tech/Wire Tech GPON work?
Heads up Prem/Wire techs, BFS is doing your EXACT same job but for more money, better benefits, and better working conditions.
The BFS folks didn’t ask for the work & most(probably 99.9%) don’t want to do the work as it is not in their original scope of work. It’s not about BFS “being too good” or “above” the work. BFS is a promotion from the Prem/Wire world of bull**** hassle, attics, & crawl spaces, etc, and those who could and wanted to have advanced out of that job title and don’t want to go back.
So, if you are a Prem or Wire tech you should be demanding from the leadership of management and the union that your pay, benefits, and working conditions be bumped up to the same as BFS techs since T obviously doesn’t mind paying BFS more to do your job.
Or, here’s a novel concept, we could just have everybody stay in their own lane across all Job titles and do the work within your scope. T isn’t going to pay a L3 to do 1st line work, craft work shouldn’t be any different. With craft surpluses looming, the right people need to be doing the right work to accurately reflect where cuts should be made. Shifting/stealing work from one group to another is not the way to go.

No troll here…just sayin if we wanna stick it to them keep showing up, don’t give them what they want. We keep getting paid and get bonus points in the PR battle to boot. Perhaps do some selective strikes as UAW did.

“ I say, let’s help T save millions then and strike, these company trolls appear ready for their CP assignment.”

Typical union slugs, all talk no action.

I say, let’s help T save millions then and strike, these company trolls appear ready for their CP assignment. I could use some extra time off, throw me in that briar patch. Maybe they will have time to actually clean and restock the restrooms with soap and TP that isn’t John Wayne style… rough, tough and doesn’t take cr-p off of anyone.

“…. Taking E-time during negotiations only benefits the company, not the rank and file or the bargaining team.”

Just like striking will save T millions every day

Working overtime also restricted the company. Why no call to stop working overtime?
