Displacement after declining relocation package

Has anyone declined relocation and received their notice of displacement? I declined back in March and haven’t received displacement. How long does it take?

Would anyone be willing to state what their relocation offer consists of? Lump sum, interest rate reduction, amounts, ect.?

You are supposed to have 30 days to decide and if you decline, your 60 day work/no work period begins followed by displacement.

One of my colleagues was asked to relocate or find a new role in a different department. She was given two weeks. She got laid off two weeks later.

I was given an option of relocation sites.

Hudson Yard was included in that list. I could see my career taking off being there where all the magic happens.

When you say "details on relocation" what do you mean? Just a list of acceptable hubs? Were there timelines? Anything else?

Not that I trust senior leadership at this point, but the townhalls I’ve attended said that if you decline the relocation you will be displaced sometime in the next quarter. You may have more time depending on when you got your letter. Curious if they would include you in with the next wave of layoffs then.

The relocation letter was through 3rd party as company uses them for the security of informing and getting response. The letter stated Q2 for notice of Displacement so a 3 month period at time of decision deadline to get the notice. HR was not helpful and points you back to management who says they haven’t heard anything. Essentially being held onto knowing it is coming but no exact dates. Just wondering if anyone has timeline from declining relocation to when actually received displacement notice.

Manager said to expect an email.

Received email with username and temp password.

I downloaded the letters(pdf’s).

Good luck to everyone.

@Eas, so you received an email with a link to a site where you could make you accepted options known or did you receive a physical letter with instructions? Thank you.

The letters come from a third party site. One is a notice, one lays out the options, and one has more details on relocation.

You then can go it and select which option you choose.

Can you call HR tomorrow and talk to them? I just do not think the first response you received on this post is the way it is. It makes no logical sense IMO. It's weird you haven't heard anything since. Please let us know for the rest of us facing the layoff environment. Ty.

How do they get the letter to you? Email, snail mail, from who you report to, etc.??

What did your letter say? They letter I receiver at the end of April says they begin in the 3rd quarter-a 2 month lag.

I have until the end of May to decide to relocate or not.

They're working on terminating your employment rather than displacing you.
