Bloated GSSO team

Biggest problem with GSSO is the fact that they are overlay, and they don’t hold responsibility and account relationship. CSS merely an opportunity coordinator that helps account team to get TSA resources, and they are just throwing all the work to the specialist team, pity them. Meanwhile within the TSA team has renewal TSA, hyper specialist, incubation specialist and some other TSAs that I don’t know what they do and how to engage but they do appear in most events.

I’m blessed to get all these support but, sometimes they are conflicting among themselves. Security TSA just look at the issue and do nothing always, if that’s the case I can just work with the specialist team directly. More so, one renewal opportunity with upsell requires 3 TSAs to be involved, and on PoV, customer asked why do you need so many SEs to support this PoV, is it really that hard to do it, your competitors are only sending one AM and one SE onsite.

With Splunk coming onboard, I really hope we streamline all these roles and responsibilities, otherwise it is gonna look bad on Cisco.

That aside, I really don’t hope because of all these overlay people holding up all the headcount on a company basis, and become a reason that we need to perform a limited restructuring every year.
