You don’t have a foundry mindset.
Everyone knows that the customers drive innovation since they drive the funding and requirements.
Intel isn’t just competing with TSMC.
They’re competing with the R&D of Apple, Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD and so on and so all of the heavy hitters in the West.
Good luck with that Intel…

"The Taiwanese workers described their Phoenix colleagues as arrogant, carefree, and more willing to challenge orders. “It’s hard to get them to do things,”"
Hmm, I am not sure the Taiwanese invent much and sound more like drones.
They did not discover most of the physics that they are using/stealing.
Just let China take them. See if the drones are still whining then.
ASU has more yeast Asians than American students.
"arrogant, carefree, and more willing to challenge orders"
This could also be describing a certain h1b group. Any wonder the country that produced all the WITCH companies couldn't produce a single decent semiconductor manufacturer?
Your right…. Such a debacle they are building 2 more next to it. Such a debacle they will be producing smaller dye than Intel in 2025 in the US.
The Taiwanese workers described their Phoenix colleagues as arrogant, carefree, and more willing to challenge orders. “It’s hard to get them to do things,”
America will never lead semiconductors again.
Look to Taiwan, South Korea, Japan etc.
