Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

DEI Layoffs

Anyone feel there’s any layoffs coming for this group? It seems like a fairly small group (I think about 90 people last time I checked) but it definitely seems to be a net loss to the bank in terms of trying to run a for profit business, which I believe we are.

It seems to me like this whole group could report to someone two levels down from the head of HR and accomplish the same thing.

The DEI team is part of the company's marketing budget. It's needed for public facing reasons.

I sure hope so. Anyone working in this area doesn’t deserve to get paid for promoting an anti-white, anti-male agenda. I hope you all get fired with no severance and your kids go hungry.

HR is one of the LOBs they support. However, they also deal with customer and supplier entities and related DEI issues and projects across the enterprise.
It's a shared service enterprise function rather than a HR thing only.
