Here we go again with the Sicko who loves to scare us with the fake layoff rumors.

Some day this stopped clock will be correct but it hasn’t been accurate for at least 35 years.

Be it paper cuts or bloodbath (or something in between), it's Wednesday through Friday of next week in the US

Layoffs are no longer a bloodbath. They're now just perpetual papercuts.

Yes, “Just the same as D Day”, LOL, but with two minor differences:

  1. D Day was real, horrible and actually happened.
  1. we are talking about less than 0.05% who are now free to enjoy up to a year of free salary. Sc--w up to move up as they say.

Sorry, the “new era” is our current ultra low layoff environment. It should be the most relaxed and collegial workforce ever as layoffs are pretty much zero.

Only the RTO Refusenics are at risk.

The “June Purge” will be 1/4 of 1%. And that’s a guarantee.

Don’t listen to the know nothings. I spent an entire day in the office on February 5th, widely hyped here as the mother of all layoffs. I spent the entire day wandering through the facilities, connecting with old acquaintances and getting the read on the layoff.

There were absolutely no layoffs. It really struck me as I had lived through so many major layoffs here and believe me, you didn’t need to go looking for evidence… they were large and in your face with a lot of people walking out with their possessions, crying.

February 5th saw stress free former coworkers walking the green with ice cream, light hearted in an unseasonably warm February.

It struck me hard… the massive difference between the real layoffs in the past and the micro displacements that we have now. The Bank is at full force and layoffs are all but nonexistent.

With so much to worry about, the micro layoffs here don’t even register as a legitimate worry.

Do you have details on what city or locations are affected by layoffs in June. I feel like something is brewing myself. There’s been a recent office closure which makes me wonder.

Some really good people are getting cut in June and no, they are not RTO resistors or poor performers or anything even remotely like that. Very solid people. The wheels are coming off this place.

The layoff era is long gone.

Why not simply enjoy the low layoff environment while they’re firing the noncompliant RTO resistors…?

Will June 1st layoffs even reach 1/2 percent?

Doubt that it will.

The largest layoff in the past few years was the February 5th 1/2%, which turned out to be a nothing burger.

The June purge should be fun...

  • the half-day in office slackers - adios amigos.
  • the Engineering slackers - adios...
  • WFH - adios y'all

I’ve been panicking about this since those offices opened a long time ago. I just now have come to the conclusion, if they’re going to do it to me best hurry up. This way I can enjoy my summer and my sub pay and not have to deal with this nonsense anymore. I can sip margaritas at the beach all summer.

Getting a bad feeling about next month, the work in our unit has dramatically gone down/been outsourced in the last couple of weeks.

June 10th was mentioned. How is this known. I bet it’s right because of something I heard but want to know who will be impacted.

I know people like you. Stressful and cannot sleep. You should hunt for a solid psychiatrist and look into the SRI (Seratonin Re-uptake Inhibitors). They are enormously helpful for those who are sensitive, have high anxiety, racing thoughts, etc.

Be aware though that you’re beginning a journey, not a quick fix.

Yes, 1/2 percent. It’s difficult to wrap your head around how somebody could refer to it as a purge.

Non growth center employees are expected to remain at a minimum. The rest will be purged. It’s a fact.

Industry Type: 52: Finance and Insurance
Total Number of Affected Workers: 30 Total Number of Employees: 600
Layoff Start Date: March 25, 2024 Layoff End Date: March 25, 2024

“Productive “ is something you can be if your job isn’t under threat every other month. Since management is clear they would prefer to retain a low motivation environment and absurdity in strategy, folks can productively prepare for their next paths when the axe falls.

What you are saying makes no sense. Your whole statement sounds like a contradiction like you are Mr. 42 in disguise. My whole dept was instructed to leave the office around lunch time from our director and location head. This is so we could be home for the busiest part of our day and not have to worry about randomly getting stuck at the office for several extra hours AFTER our actual end of day and then still have to commute home at 9 PM. You sound like someone who hasn’t actually worked there for at least 2 years. It’s the new normal. Get over it! And yes it wouldn’t surprise me if there were layoffs in June. It’s a big company, and I’m sure the US locations will feel it disproportionately especially at the shrinking centers.

What’s ridiculous is people post the “next round” of layoffs every darn month. You should do something productive like stop posting propaganda and get to work.

I have the scoop because I am a manager and they gave me the criteria for next layoff qualification. It will only impact hybrid working together employees who go to office 3 days a week, slack, tardy, and do nothing on the 2 days they work from home. No hardworking BAH employees will be impacted. Anyone who goes to office at 9am and runs back home at noon or 2pm will be shown the door! It will also impact employees who don’t meet their office requirements shown on their mysource.

What the heck is wrong with 42. Something seriously is wrong with this dude to post three false claims on this same thread. Just a few hours apart. What a wacko… Use your mental health benefits.

WARN notices aren’t required for sub 1% layoffs.

No need to worry…our layoff levels are far too small and rare to require WARN notices..

“Massive” is 1/2%.

All will be completed on first business day of June . Every layoff is is smaller than the preceding one… well for the last decade anyway.

I hope the beginning of June FYI last warn notice that was in March was posted the actual day people were laid off. Doesn't make sense to me as there is no warning.

Has there been a WARN notice released yet? Also, when the word “massive” is used, do we know what we are looking at? Last question: End of June or beginning?
