I know it really doesn’t matter to Ford if it is around a holiday or not but just asking and yes I know everyone with a pension is on the chopping block.

- This has never mattered to anyone in a position to make the call in the past so why would it begin now? Just put the squeeze on middle management to deal with the fallout. money and numbers on a financial report are at the end of the day all that matters.

Yes, layoffs will definitely be before or after Memorial Day.
Unlikely that any cuts will occur this month. I have no inside knowledge, but a company objective that could be the foundation of future cuts is scheduled to be completed by July. If the headcount reductions are primarily focused on reducing cost, then July/August seems logical. If the focus is on replacing people whose skill set doesn't match the future needs of the company, then this might push it to the September/October timeframe.
It appears to before the holiday this month May.
