"Learn to do basic search in Google. Typical self important Cisco drone. Doesn’t even know how to use the keyboard. Prime LR candidate who typically won’t be LRed. These are the life-blood of modern Cisco. No wonder the company is going down the drain. "

Seems like someone needs to work on their reading and critical thinking. Like I said, NO SOURCE has this stated anywhere. NONE. Post that exact quote and you will get nothing. So I am asking you, what source did you get that information from?

Same with me
The lady has zero strategy
Never meets partners or customers
Calls out and asks why some partners form 6 years ago are not in the plan (companies are now insolvent) and this is recurring despite the multiple people telling her this over 2y
Other than pressing the approve button I have no idea what she does

@1paw+1sreF8P7 I can testify that my manager is completely an overhead in Cisco. This guy is so useless that he can only play as a clown in front of the VP who is well connected. My manager can never understand what I am doing and is not able to evaluate what I did. Cisco directors used to carry some weight. Now they are simply a bunch of over-compensated clowns.

You are much luckier than people work for Elon Musk. He doesn't pay good severance as Cisco plus keeps thinking layoffs everyday.

"Only Cisco tolerates this sickening behavior and allows it to go on. Employee relations is just a slave of management and will not help employee that brings the issue forward."

This is one of the primary facets of Cisco's People Deal.

more cuts coming per announcement, most will be recognized in first half of fiscal 2025.

"With an employee base of approximately 85,000 individuals, Cisco anticipates the majority of job cuts to materialize in the third quarter of fiscal 2024. These actions will incur an $800 million charge before taxes, covering severance and associated expenses. The company plans to recognize about $150 million of these charges in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024, with the remainder primarily accounted for in the first half of fiscal 2025."

A notorious manager in a region 'manages' 4 people

Never has a weekly 121

Bullies and tries to intimidate staff and specialists

Focuses on two partners resource is thrown at them (sub 25k USD per year contribution)

How is this person still here ?

@1wti+1sreF8P7 I wish I could list some of those manager names here. These managers provide no value at all considering how much they are paid. First line managers who manage less than 10 employees are those who have no technical expertise and cannot land a job if LRd. Cisco is there only hope

Cisco has few heartless obnoxious rude managers that still keep chugging along, thanks to leaders they report to. These nasty managers feel pride in their own powers and get immense pleasure giving LR script to poor employees.

Only Cisco tolerates this sickening behavior and allows it to go on. Employee relations is just a slave of management and will not help employee that brings the issue forward.

"Cisco announced that it allocated $800M in restructuring costs for three quarters"

Where does it say the 800m is stretched out over 3 quarters? I've only read that the 800m was accounted for the approx. 4-5k that was LR'd this past Feb.

Several resources mention that laying off one person costs the company twice the salary to account for indirect and direct costs (cobra, severance, etc). If we say that it costs an average 170,000 per person, the 800m restructuring costs check out for the approx. 4-5k that were laid off.

Yes, Cisco did layoffs after last earnings on the same day.

Has Cisco ever done layoffs on the day of the earnings announcement? If not, May 15 would be a very unlikely day to get laid off.

Cisco announced that it allocated $800M in restructuring costs for three quarters, so it is very unlikely to layoff 7% or 10% or 20% this quarter.

I too have reasons to believe that the candidates have been selected already like around the date when they announced the mid year shutdown -reason: they shut down all their facilities and there will be money saving. Real reason: force everybody to take days off so we can pay less for the next LRs

Eho is saying it is going to br be May15?
If I read the signs correctly they wsnt us to take days off in july so they can pay less.
It is amazing to see how far they can get with this, thry calim to be #1 company to work for and the got so low that vacation time is something that they tell you exactly when you can have it. And this was announced way back ...clear sign that they knew very well lsy off were going to come, and all thid while they were telling us that this LR has nothing to do with the splunk Splunk aquisition
For me, that image with Fran smiling while she was announcing layoffs will for ever mean "we are cisco".
