RTO terminations

Looks like we had some terminations today for non-compliance with RTO requirements.

I didn't meet the RTO requirements, which aren't clearly anywhere. I didn't get a raise, quarterly bonus or the "holiday pay" ( approx. A month of average pay) and to punish even farther...they added my AHT, which isn't bad, but my worst metric...so that HR can make rediculous demands that I can't meet in the timeframe give...and fire me. 5 yrs in January. Licensed. They fight you on medical reasons for an excuse to work fully at home. I drank the Kool_Aid. I remember now, I am just a replaceable badge number.

Left after I got a 100% remote job. New company doesn’t have me writing up quarterly check-ins or doing stupid fuel50 check the box activities. Manager had no idea what my work entailed. So glad I don’t have to go in 2 weeks after September.

RTO, who is going to post on Reddit and other social media sites 24/7?

All I can say is that if they start factoring in hours to penalize salaried people then I’m doing no more / no less than 40 hours. I used to do 60 hours regularly in my prime. Weekends when the boss would dangle the carrot. Not anymore. Not missing time with the kids.

Plenty of angry workers at hand maybe protest is the only way . We seen the news stories of what happens when you trigger people.

Oh, you know people are going to get f***ed over come review time over hours spent in office. Going to be a wake up call for many people. Those living close to office will of course be rewarded.

Completely agree, they are tracking the actual hours, they have said a few times - at least to managers - that time in office will contribute to pay recommendations, and it’s only a matter of time until they start doing something with that data on specific hours in office. I do think it’s going to influence the recommendations that go into the comp planner tool, and make it hard for managers to make a case for giving someone more.

Is it just me or do people at work seem especially demotivated and cranky? How many times have your worked well over 40 hours and even weekends and gotten nothing for it. Wait until they start tracking hours. If/when they start doing that, they are not getting another minute past 40 hours out of me. Had a manager that said we should be working at least 45 hours a week. That's called wage theft. When people feel that you are being fair with them they will willingly do over 40 hours to get the job done right. The more they tighten up the less motivated I am going to be. Quiet quitting is doing the hours you get paid to do.

Prediction: Right before final year performance reviews/bonus + pay increase discussions they will allow managers see number of hours in office including past months. They will then use this to sc--w people out of money. “Oh, you were only in 5 hours that Friday of connect week? We’re really concern about your compliance with our culture of hybrid working….”
