Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Job going to India

I start the KT training next week. If you are in Technology, be prepared, there are very few positions left in US and the ones left are moving to India slowly. This on top of the location strategy. I didn't post this to complain or cry, I just don't want anyone to have a false sense of stability if you are in Technology in the US. Currently under 23K positions are under Tracy and almost 15K are India now. Those numbers don't include the US team members laid off in last 60 days.

i've also heard the 60/40 from a tech manager (almost said 'trusted' tech manager but that is a bit of an oxymoron here)
can also confirm the massive amount of I&P (india and philippines) hiring currently ongoing. they are ki-ling US jobs intentionally and it will continue until the US workforce is down 40%.

WF is headed to 90/10, and the US ain't the 90 side of that split.

@zvl+1ssSUNF5 There are continual layoffs. It's never going to end, every other Tuesday (after paydays), people are let go. It's about "efficiency." Forget that profits continually grow, forget the exec compensations continually grow, forget that wages aren't even keeping up with inflation. Employees are still somehow the problem. We've had it too good, I guess. Not as good as the people who are secure with their golden parachutes, or the people secure with their massive YOY stock gains, it's us with our measly below-inflation wages toiling away making the company actually function to whatever extent it can with our galaxy brain leaders... we have to go.

Don't forget, and for anyone thinking of coming to work here, that onshore workers will be required to make up for the offshore workers who can't or won't do their job.

Maybe next administration will give tax breaks to companies that keep jobs here and stick it to companies that offshore. Oh wait. Excuse me. Globalization. I forgot to parrot the talking points of executives

It is documented and publicized at the leadership level the goal is 60/40 US/I&P split. Last I saw it was at 68/32 but truthfully it’s been a few months. It won’t go beyond that otherwise WF will run afoul of regulations.

To those laid off or quietly quitting....

I answered another post but thought I would repost here instead.
Here are some gemini.google.com (or chatgpt) prompts that might help your healing now ... or in the future.

"what are the kubler ross grief stages and how do they apply to someone laid off and replaced with offshore worker"
or
"what are the kubler ross grief stages and how do they apply to someone currently "quiet quitting" and seeing upper management making cruel policies to get people to quit so that they can be replaced with offshore worker"
The KR grief stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. To all... good fortune on 5/14...
