Individual contributors are Rif'ed annually or more each year yet hardly see Managers, Directors Rif'ed. Last year Network created new Region by splitting markets from East and west coast to create new management/ Director level position. Not to mention the Intelligence level of the Directors they have been bringing in the Nework organizations since last decade. Many 5th grader's are smarter than the Directors they have been hiring in Network. Can't make a decision and throwing Engineers under the bus when things don't go as planned.
The only times you see Managers let go if their bosses got certain manager their team they can't tolerate when they got a Management position and assigned a team.

IC employees get put on pip or rif'ed if making mitakes. Managers / Directors are promoted or lateral moved to different teams management every 3 to 4 years when they are not doing good job but hardly ever Rif'ed.
some Individual contributors from Networks are incompetent too, they don't even know routing and switching,
some don't even know how to login router using CLI
