Remediation leads, execution leads were laid off today. Data analytics received their pre notice to relocate or get laid off in a few months in the ECR.

@1mcm+1svvf1Sq Oh let us know how that works for you. Please?
The more command and control is offshored the harder it will be to clean up the sheet show. Wells Fargo will be in the arms of Kali.

Do you know which titles were largely affected in ECR? Or a mix of titles / levels?

At least 50 ECR layoffs today. Most in core locations.

Two great people I've worked with many years were displaced today due to LS. They were over-the-top hard workers who have done a ton for the "cause" - no matter, they were let go. One had recently received a promotion.

CLT at least one US based engineer due to LS

CTO under T Kerrins. Dig down to FHO. My count is up to 7 but there is no way it’s that low. Seems like cutting low hanging fruit though so those lost so far were dead wood anyways. No impact to work load or operations. They were all remote spread across the US so no correlation there other than “remote”.

@1bdq+1svvf1Sq agree. And the information you provided location, business group, manager or not is all we (and maybe you soon) need.
Another useful tidbit is if you find how many employees in your group and/or how many managers you know are laid off. If you think your job was offshored or not -- were you doing kt (knowledge transfer) then they are probably offshoring your job.
My theory is that HY is laying off all the workers, replacing them with offshores, while keeping the US managers. The 40/60 split is a lot more severe if you are a US worker.

For those that need the info, here's the details on the severance plan (Appendix F): https://teamworks.wellsfargo.com/pdf/Benefits_Book.pdf

Good luck to all, no matter what the outcome of today.

For the first reply at the bottom saying you are bound by confidentiality, please see:

https://natlawreview.com/article/nlrb-finds-confidentiality-and-non-disparagement-clauses-severance-agreements-may

"NLRB Finds that Confidentiality and Non-Disparagement Clauses in Severance Agreements May Violate Employees’ Rights"

It's illegal for Wells Fargo to prevent you from talking about being laid off. That said: everything WF does seems to be illegal these days, so it's still probably not a good idea to over-share information here, since WF seems to break the law to harm customers and employees as its general course of business. I can't even count how many criminal and civil infractions the company has had in the last 8 years.

Protect yourself first.

that would imply that they care. They don't have the brainpans to understand why that is important.

tiny phone keyboard, phat fingers, and a quick post lead to a lot of typos. thank goodness we have the grammar police out on patrol

“loose”? Perhaps people would be more inclined to take advice from an internet stranger if said stranger knew how to spell

if you want to post disparaging remarks about WF in a public forum I'd wait till after your notice period. Not much they can do at that point. Do it during your notice period then they could fire you for cause and you loose your severance

HY loves their secrecy, that want to be able to fire thousands of people without causing to much of a stir. F those clowns. As has been said, there's nothing top secret about your role, group, and location. It's all over Teamworks and people's LinkedIn anyway. When you're in your non-working notice you're still an employee, so I'm not sure what the problem would be. If HY doesn't like it, they could not downsize so many people.

"I’m as curious as anybody, but providing that much specific info on a public forum seems like a good way to forfeit severance due to breaking confidentiality."

Just got my email meeting invite. Let's hope. There is no breach of confidentiality to say where you worked and where you live. Stop the scare tactics.

COO group, Charlotte, not a manager.

What is the severance package going to look like?

Just the Location/Business Unit is enough. And no abbreviations. Like to know if you were a manager or not. Also if part of a group the number.
Thanks in advance....

Be safe out there everybody. And good luck tomorrow, whatever result you’re hoping for.
