Thread regarding Ford layoffs

When will the main part of the Dearborn Campus be completed?

First it was supposed to be done by 2023. The last I heard was 2025. Once this phase is completed I anticipate this will be full RTO and most older employees will leave.

@1sgi I have heard the same from a handful of older employees that haven't retired yet. Their roles are not grueling and WFH allows them the flexibility they desire while still earning a paycheck.

Look up "Winchester Mansion" and get back to me.

This got delayed because of the id--t train station. The only people that will go to that train station are the people that work there and the "special" weddings that will be held there. (You know the ones I'm referring to.)

@ilj+ I have had a couple 30+ year employees tell me that they stayed on due to WFH. When RTO mandates get serious they plan to retire.

That's funny you think the older employees will quit with RTW. The old employees are the only ones that can thrive in an office, since that is where they have spent their entire work career.

An LL6 told me that he heard from an LL5 that it will be right after the next round of layoffs. Watch this space.
