i was always baffled how those guys kept their jobs after presiding over the disasters that they were (10nm especially). how was kaizad allowed to continue to be employed after delivering a technology that yielded terrible 6 years late? its mind boggling
Kaizad was the program manager for 10nm. He is enjoying his time at IFS despite the 10nm debacle. Sanjay was the 14nm lead. He got a bigger role after his comeback.

Murphy was a collosal failure. QCOM ditched him, then d-mb Intel picked him up w $25 million pkg and first class plane tickets to fly him back and forth from San Diego to Santa Clara. He failed to do ANYTHING! He failed selling chips for mobile and IOT. A total failure. BTW, QCOM/Intel/TI Inidians are known for their big time nepotism.

Dr. Murthy is a solid bet. He has a doctoral degree and can truly walk in the shoes of Shockley, Bardeen, Brattain, Noyce, Moore, Ted Hoff, El-Mansy as a technical beacon for the industry. He is renowned for building building QCOM to the giant it is today. He has a lot of fans and boosters all across the company at every level. His could be a fantastic come back story not seen since the return of Jobs.
