Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Cisco reports better-than-expected results!

Our earnings come at the cost of treating our employees horribly. Many good folks were laid off that could of helped in the revenue downturn. There are many things more important to us than the best quarterly earnings.

Executives are in their own little world of the rich and famous, traveling the world, out of touch, while some of our peers had are still struggling to find a job to make ends meet. Cut executive salaries and our huge HR team that are needed to manage all the LRs. Stop the LR insanity and let natural attrition solve our headcount concerns so we can once again be a great place to work.

Best place to work? Just stop it. IT IS NOT! The best place to work bus left about 5 years ago.

Cisco is about to enter several years of chaos as Splunk is going to be put into the drivers' seat. Steele is then actually going to attempt to turn Cisco into a real software company despite Robbins' unconvincing blather about software over the last several years. The number of current Cisco employees who are about to experience massive changes to their work lives is huge.

Tighten your seatbelts. This is not going to be a smooth ride.

They are going to keep paying the interest for years. That plus salaries and benefits and RSUs for all splunk employees. There is no chance in he'll this is sustainable without deep cuts. And yeah we su-ked without Splunk to begin with with 13% drop YoY

What you don't realize is that if we didn't count Splunk revenues in our earnings report, we would have missed again...

It’s been on this site a dozen times, but I’ll say it once more. Get rid of all of the useless VP’s in CX!! They are clueless overhead who don’t understand the business or the customers or the future, no clue how to grow the business, they don’t even understand how to measure themselves or their teams! A complete fail at all levels.
