I wonder of there is anything in the works for VZ to have additional layoffs with a reasonable package since looks like we are starting to use more and more AI and of off shoring more amd more as well..

In my area they have closed too many buildings and parts of buildings to have a full RTO. Which means we need a little bit of Malicious compliance and all RTO on the same day to maximize our cultural exchange.
Company would be better off giving package now instead of waiting until November.
RTO isn’t going to help reduce the real estate footprint.
Company can’t afford a package. Be the usual in November.
Managers have been asked to canvas their subordinates who would be interested in taking a package. I was conversing with my direct manager about this request last week. Let’s see what happens. After all the company is bleeding and the shareholders are not happy. Gotta cut payroll and reduce the real estate footprint.
