29 year veteran here. The reasons why Intel is collapsing:
- DEI - unfair, unethical, and leads us to our current situation.
- Demand signals in 2017 and 2018 were high. We didn't make capital decisions to increase capacity.
- The bureaucracy needed to change something fuels slowness and lack of enthusiasm.
- The culture is such that -we are not paranoid - people don't dig in to become masters of their area. Exceeding schedule targets seems to be a norm without any repercussions.
Yes. This is why Christy P is trying to jam thru massive golden parachutes for ELT and CVP. Meantime she’s telling everyone not to worry about serplus retirement funds that will be wiped out in bankruptcy
WHY??? Broadcom or any other company will not acquire Intel assets now because they are too expensive (delusional Intel board and executives), and not valuable enough. Intel will eventually declare bankruptcy (Chapter 11) and some assets will be sold.
This is a very plausible scenario. I am sure he wants to get his hands on Intel to break it apart and sell it. Only issue would be I think the government is going to have an issue with this after they just gave us big bucks.
It'll be Frito lay looking to expand chip production
I’ll be able to buy Intel with beer money in a few years.
Rumor is Costco will buy Intel and turn all its FABs into rotisserie chicken factories.
OP is a comedian wannabe.
I was under the impression that Hock Tan was smart. So, no… I doubt it.
