Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Trying to be objective...

CSCO in last year = -9.63% stock. Last 5 years? = -18.33%. Meanwhile NVDA, ANET, BRCM, DELL, HPE, SMCI, PSTG, PANW... many more up so much more. CSCO claims to be a leader in AI.... yet they dont have any products while all above are marching out new products consistently. And who is to blame? Easy - the Board. What other board of directors could have not mandated a change of course with such poor results over such a long term? There appears to be too much Kool-aide in those closed meetings -and I wonder who is propping the CSCO stock at the ~45 today? Very sad as many of my real friends are still there, it was a great company that I really was proud to work for, and now - just a pathetic shell even with Splunk and whatever else they sink money into. It appears to all be a game of 3 card monte - and yes the board is where the blame squarely lays. But I do respect all the people really trying hard to change the winds- but unfortunately the deck is stacked against them.

CSCO is a dinosaur thrashing around in a tar pit.

CEO and ELT salary should be based on stock and company earnings performance and decided by share holders voting! Just a beginning

Sad. How is the board not firing this entire ELT. I watched JD and JP in Vegas last week. Gosh these guys are both terrible. Made me cringe. Doesn't inspire any confidence. We're getting a proper beating on Wall Street while everyone else is growing.

Whilst other CEO and ELT at competitors are enthusing their staff about AI, our Cisco Beat is about woke subjects that have zero relevance to staff’s day to day jobs.

Truly a sh-t show, it was embarrassing for Cisco at their investor day. Chuck and Mark needs to get fired

Does the current stock price include Splunk equity?

If so Splunk’s valuation of $28B and Cisco’s current market capitalisation of $183B means that the share price would be about 15% less than it is now?

Which means the share price would be around $38?
