Received email today from Diana S. that as of 8/4 VNOE will be split into engineering and operations teams. Director will notify you on where you land. Rumors of rift after split. Anyone else get notified

VIP is designed to lower OPEX. If not enough people take VSP, then RIF will follow immediately to ensure the OPEX reduction goal is met.

Interesting. Field securing work by bringing desktop remote back to field out of franchise offices. Big picture but limited scope. Work is leaving Verizon via HCL, contractors and other means.

Being that engineering is participants of the VSP, more than likely they have to spread folks around due to the ages in that org and the many that will be taking it. How that equates to a RIF is beyond comprehension.
