PSA: you can freeze your Work Number info

There are other such bureaus too but they are the biggest. I don’t have the details, but some states may give you more power than others. You can always unfreeze later. Might be useful if you do t want to drive an Uber or do odd jobs during your 60 days.

TWN is used by companies for employment verification during pre and post hire background checks.

Yes, some companies use it for post hire background checks to ensure you resigned from previous role.

You can get all the jobs you want during your salary continuation process with no real impact. When it's a problem is only during your notification period.

The Work Number is an American employment verification database created in 1985 by Talx Corporation. Talx, (now Equifax Workforce Solutions) was acquired by Equifax Inc. in February 2007 for US$1.4 billion.

This "work number" to check if you have a new job before the end of severance is a scare tactic. Equifax service is a verification service NOT a notification service. To think Wells is actively going out to see if you have been re-employed is ludicrous.

It's really not that hard people, just make sure your start date at your next gig isn't until after your notice period ends and your salary continuation begins. It's not like the job market is good right now, it will likely take you way longer than 60 days to find a good job and navigate the entire application/interview process anyway. If you get an offer, simply negotiate your start date.

@1pvz+1t2ln4Fq Your reading comprehension is very poor if you are unable to see the intent in the comment.

And you live a sad life if a misspelled conjunction that turns into a preposition sets you off on a racist tirade. Go eat some more boiled steak and lay pipe into your first cousin.
