Approximately 7 employees in MarComm were laid off on Friday, some in NYC, some in Pittsburgh.

What, if anything, did you do all do in marketing?
I’ve always wondered why we even have a Marketing team. We do have a sales force with GCM, which is relationship based, but anyone who needs us already knows what we offer. Custody Banks are a small percentage of Financial Services.
I’ve only seen one advertisement ever, “Mellon Bank… Changing with the seasons, showing a maple tree in the fall. We get Marketing like Roman gets A.I.
I was on the MarComm team. 20 years with the firm. Laid off June 14th.

There be more than that in those locations. The lack of knowledge coming out of some of those teams is mind blowing
