McDs clearly explained why it was moving away from using IBM AI. It is on McDs website (link below).

The real problem was probably not IBM AI even though there has been some funny issues reported, but more because is not able to provide a full Cloud solution to McDs.

Do you need AI for a drive up order system? There aren't any decisions to make. The person orders and that's it. Can they even call this AI?
