Orgs Reducing Spends Targets

I just don’t think this works. So many managers don’t want to cut employees so they look for other areas to hit the mandated spend target.

It feels like they are just keeping too many people and cutting spend on innovation and being effective. Like if you only need 8 people but have 10. Why wouldn’t you let go of 2 rather than cut things like travel etc.

@ebu+1t99t9P4, "scuttle the ship to keep any chance possible of saving the ship itself"

Lol, scuttling a ship means to intentionally sink it. Usually to prevent it from falling into enemy hands.

Managers would rather keep 10 employees because # of subs = power and influence.

Some areas don’t have much else to cut. Travel went mostly away years ago. No team lunches or team builders. There is really nothing left unless you have contractors to cut loose.

You can just cut a manager, nothing will change as a result and maybe the team might even perform better.

Well intel could get better pay per employee if they didn’t have so many useless employees.

Please ask Pastor Pat what is the employee to earning ratio of nvidia compared to Intel. Of course you might get walked out on the spot...but I guess Pastor Pat cannot do simple math..he used to...but now he only sees converts to his future mega church. You know he idolizes Joelsteen...right??
