I clicked it because I need change and so does Verizon. Does anyone know of reasons why VSP would not be accepted? I’ve only been here 5 years and have good reviews, just ready to take this as a chance to get out and get a fresh start somewhere else with more opportunity and less doom and confusion.

Unless you have a job that mandates some govt clearance, or you are a super niche sme you will be accepted, the only real question is on which phase.
If you are not holding the key to kingdom, you are guarantee be accepted.
We will accept everyone that has put in for it.

Department/group staffing will be a factor. It probably won’t be an outright rejection, but could mean 1 of the 2 later dates.
I haven’t heard of or talked to any team yet where they had entire team or SME group taking it. Until that is the case, I don’t see any reason for not accepting.
Only if your entire team accepts, and even then probably not.
OP - Don't worry, You will be accepted, and your exit date will be on Sept 13.
