The fact of the matter is that you WILL BE laid off as soon as the company can possible replace you at lower cost, whether it be thru automation, outsourcing or off-shoring.

Well yeah. This company doesn't really value the employees. Everyone knows that.
The fact is if you are working on ancient technology like rotary phones, you better work on the burger flipping skill. McDonalds is your future.
I am in business field services and we are solid, no threat of layoffs in our organization. I wish I could get laid off, but management seems to think all hands on deck are required to move this company forward. There isn't enough work to keep all the techs busy, most finish their day by noon, yet the company is still plans on hiring more techs. GO figure...?
I am not getting laid off. I am in mobility and we carry the company.
