Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

SO FRUSTRATING

It’s so frustrating here at the barn. I feel like hr forgot about us. Why would they just leave one department in the building it makes no sense. They say they want to be as transparent as possible but yet here we are sitting back having no idea what’s going on. Trying to guess when we are going to get let go like it’s a game. It’s not like it’s a secret yet they’re making it feel like it’s top secret news that no one can know about what’s going on. SO TIRED OF TWIDDLING MY THUMBS.

Another thread said 98 were laid off here today. I wish they'd just close the building already and let us work from home 100% until we're finally relieved. This ghost town is so depressing.

You're a noob, stop trying to impress people. More importantly, have some empathy. Employees at the BC are being downsized. Soon enough, you will be also.

That's also not surprising...i don't know what the buildings are called in Iowa, for example. It's a locally recognized name. The William Barnhart Center is the building where Beaverton/Hillsboro employees work(ed). It's quite possible you've never worked with any of the diverse groups that had a footprint there, despite your veeeeery impressive tenure.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled trolling. Why are you angrily participating in this thread if you don't care about the Barnhart employees? Maybe find a better use of your time? Just keep scrolling. The world has not benefitted from your negative comments. ♡

@yhd I had never heard of "the Barn" until people started complaining about it here. But I've only worked at Wells Fargo for over 2 decades.

I know you're trolling, but what's interesting to me is that that building has been filled with some of the most intelligent, knowledgeable people at the bank, historically. For the last 5 or so years, the Barnhart has had very few job opportunities posted, which created a super competitive environment for the few job openings that allowed for promotions. So really only the truly best employees (who wanted to move up, not everyone does) moved into mid-level, manager, and individual-contributor positions.

It's really sad to know how many incredible employees are being axed there. And it's sad how it's being done, because no one is at their best in an environment where they're just waiting to be axed. Everyone is burned out, stressed, frustrated, and on-edge, but they're having to continue performing.

Oh look, it's this week's thread about a far flung location that no one ever heard of.

Hopefully they shut it down soon so we can stop reading weekly posts about it.

Honestly they should just move us all to the ground floor and put us all on the same hybrid schedule. Save on energy costs at least.
Maybe they’re afraid of us seeing the actual number of people working in the building and/or gossiping haha

The frustration they're causing is very intentional. They're hoping you'll quit. Stay strong and do whatever is best for your sanity and your situation ♡
