Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Just one thing

Can anyone remind me of just one positive working here? I just can’t remember one at the moment. Kinda down.

I was displaced 3 months ago, now into my 10-month severance. I get to keep my RSRs and am interviewing, so might be able to double dip for quite a while. Life is much better on the other side of WF, trust me. Job market is tough though, certainly true, but I have a security clearance in the Air Force Reserve, which is helping me with some gov contractors. It can be done!!!

Not all heros wear capes. The long timers of WF need to make Shart pay for his BS by collecting every penny of the severance they deserve.

Absolutely! For a long-timer like me, when they discarded me, I had the maximum for severance. 14 months!

My PTO was great too! 33 days plus Holidays and the personal days!

Fantastic!

Cheers!

Severance, which is good because it's all we have left.

Pretty generous PTO. 10 paid holidays a year on top of the regular PTO with decent increases based on tenure. When I add it all up I get about 6 weeks of PTO/holiday a year.

The one thing not posted in the benefits book……I made a couple of really good friends.
Never went to work to make a friend, but have stayed friends with 2 for the last 30 years.

As bad as this company is, hard to beat the salary and bonus. Almost no other company can compete, save for the other big banks. I have been interviewing here and there and no one can touch the salary, save for a few of the big banks here in CLT. I am only a few years away from retirement, so am willing to leave for less money to work at a better company.

Ok it’s settled now. No more complaining, Wells Fargo is a quality company, and you’re all fortunate to be here

I am well paid compared to current job openings in my market.

My manager is great. He treats me with respect and is constantly thanking me for making his life easier. I get bonuses that hit the target every year and sizable pay raises with it.

My coworkers on this team are great, constantly volunteering to help each other out.

I have no desire to leave my role. We are doing exciting new things. But location strategy looms for me.

If you know of anything positive, definitely don’t post it here or HY will read it and take it away from us.

So what I’m hearing is that Wells is a pretty good gig. Maybe not the happiest place on earth, but that’s why they call it work. It can be inconvenient at times to experience workplace upheavals for sure, and that Lumburg guy wanting you to go ahead and come in on Saturday is a real pain in the rear. The good news is that they’re not lobbing off heads in the lobby on a daily basis. Now go get ‘em Tiger!

I feel the same, OP. It's only Saturday, and I'm already dreading Monday. I would love to leave, but I'm too young to retire and too old to get hired. The people in my office are really nice, but it's upper management that makes you feel there's always a target on your back.
